Sublmnl Launches New Website for the Historic Cabarrus Association

Sublmnl, a Cabarrus County-based brand development and digital marketing studio, has launched a new website for the Historic Cabarrus Association as part of a complete brand redevelopment. The new site is a central piece of the organization’s broader rebrand, giving the Historic Cabarrus Association a single, unified digital platform to support its mission of preserving and sharing Cabarrus County, North Carolina’s history.

A Website Built to Do More Than Tell a Story

Historical and cultural nonprofits need websites that do far more than educate visitors; they need to manage ticketed events, accept donations, and sell merchandise, often all within one platform. Sublmnl began the project with site architecture development and a full content strategy, mapping the site around how visitors, members, and donors each engage with the organization differently, from learning its history to registering for an upcoming event.

Donations, Ticketing, and Retail, All in One Place

The new site integrates a dedicated donation and ticketing platform, giving the Association a streamlined way to manage event registration and fundraising directly through its website. Sublmnl also built a full e-commerce store into the site to support gift shop and merchandise sales, which is a critical revenue stream for historical and cultural organizations looking to diversify beyond grants and membership dues alone.

Connected Systems, Built for Long-Term Growth

The site connects directly to the Association’s CRM, keeping member and donor information unified in a single system rather than scattered across disconnected tools. We built the platform on a strong SEO foundation, with Google Analytics reporting providing ongoing visibility into how visitors find and use the site. The project also included original copywriting throughout and full domain and hosting setup.

“The Historic Cabarrus Association means so much to the story of this county, and we wanted their website to reflect that, not just visually, but functionally,” said Justin Moore, Owner and Creative Director of Sublmnl. “This site has to work as an educational resource, a donation engine, and a ticketing and retail platform, all at once, and do it well.”

Part of a Larger Commitment to Cabarrus County History

This website launch is one piece of Sublmnl’s complete brand redevelopment for the Historic Cabarrus Association. This initiative also includes a new visual identity, a refreshed brand story, and planning and design for the organization’s new Historic Visitors Center. The full effort reflects our ongoing commitment to preserving and promoting Cabarrus County and supporting the organizations dedicated to it.
