Historic Cabarrus Association — Website Design & Development
As part of Sublmnl’s complete brand redevelopment for the Historic Cabarrus Association, the organization needed a website capable of doing far more than telling its story; it needed to support ticketed events, accept donations, sell merchandise, and manage a growing base of members and visitors, all while remaining true to the organization’s mission of preserving Cabarrus County’s history.

The Challenge
Historical and cultural nonprofits face a unique website challenge: the site must function as an educational resource, a donation engine, an event ticketing system, and a retail storefront all at once, and often on a limited budget that makes multiple disconnected platforms impractical. The Historic Cabarrus Association needed one cohesive digital platform that could support its full range of operations, rather than stitching together separate tools for donations, ticketing, and merchandise sales.

The Approach
We began with site architecture and a full content strategy, mapping out a clear structure based on how visitors, members, and donors use the site, from learning the organization’s history to registering for an event. From there, we integrated a donation and ticketing platform directly into the site, giving the Association a streamlined way to manage event registration and fundraising in one place, and built a full e-commerce store to support gift shop and merchandise sales.
We connected the site directly to the organization’s CRM, keeping member and donor data unified rather than scattered across disconnected systems. We built the entire platform on a strong SEO foundation with Google Analytics reporting for ongoing visibility, supported by original copywriting throughout, and delivered with full domain and hosting setup, making a complete, ready-to-launch platform.

The Result
The Historic Cabarrus Association now has a single, unified digital platform that supports its full mission: educating the community, welcoming donors and members, ticketing events, and generating retail revenue, all built to grow alongside the organization’s ongoing preservation work.
