Cabarrus Brewing Company (CBC) is a craft brewery in Concord, NC. It fancies itself as “Cabarrus County NC’s Destination Brewery.” When the owners of CBC first approached Sublmnl in the Fall of 2015 to brand their new brewing venture, we discussed what makes their brewery different from others in the greater Charlotte, NC brewing scene. Their answer: a focus on being hyper-local to Cabarrus County.

The CBC brand is deeply rooted in Cabarrus County, NC’s community, culture, and history. This area has significant historical ties to the textile industry, and we explored ways to incorporate that aspect into the CBC story. With that in mind, we developed a brand that pays homage to those historic ties in all facets of the brand. From the brand imagery to the tap handles shaped as textile loom bobs, even down to naming beers after historically significant local terms like “Cotton Blonde” and “Boll Weevil Brown.” Cabarrus Brewing has a brand ingrained in the local community and is truly “Your Beer From Here.”
