The Charlotte Independent Brewers Alliance (CIBA) is a collective of craft breweries dedicated to promoting and supporting the independent brewing community in the greater Charlotte, NC, area. When CIBA approached Sublmnl, they sought a complete brand development strategy to effectively communicate their mission and strengthen their presence in the local craft beer scene.

Our collaboration began with thoroughly exploring CIBA’s core values and objectives. We engaged with the alliance’s members to understand their vision for fostering collaboration among independent breweries and promoting the unique flavors and culture of Charlotte’s craft beer community. This foundational insight guided us in creating a cohesive brand identity that reflects the spirit of independence, creativity, and community.

We developed a distinctive logo that embodies the essence of CIBA. It incorporates elements that symbolize the alliance’s collective nature while celebrating each member brewery’s individuality. The new visual identity is designed to be versatile and impactful, suitable for various applications from merchandise to promotional materials. In addition to the logo, we crafted a comprehensive brand style guide that outlines the use of colors, typography, and imagery, ensuring consistency across all platforms. This guide is a valuable resource for CIBA members, helping them maintain a unified brand presence while promoting their unique offerings.

To further enhance CIBA’s visibility, we designed various collateral materials, including merchandise, website, event signage, digital assets for social media, and more. These materials promote CIBA’s initiatives and highlight the diverse breweries within the alliance, encouraging community engagement and support for local craft beer.
