BRANDING CABARRUS COUNTY, NC’S DESTINATION BREWERY

Cabarrus Brewing Company (CBC) is a craft brewery based in Concord, NC, and fancies itself as “Cabarrus County NC’s Destination Brewery.” When the owners of CBC first approached Sublmnl in the Fall of 2015 to brand their new brewing venture, we discussed what makes their brewery different from others in the greater Charlotte, NC brewing scene. Their answer: a focus on being hyper local to Cabarrus County as a whole. The CBC brand is deeply rooted in the community, culture and history of Cabarrus County, NC, an area that has major historic ties to the textile industry.

With that in mind, we developed a brand that pays homage to those historic ties in all facets of the brand. From the brand imagery, to the tap handles shaped as textile loom bobs, even down to naming beers after historically significant local terms like “Cotton Blonde” and “Boll Weevil Brown.” Cabarrus Brewing has a brand that is ingrained in the local community, and is truly “Your Beer From Here.”
